    Tail Gear Mesh

    Hi all,

    I have a problem with the tail drive system. I think the lower gear on the main shaft is warped but I can't tell for sure. Also, the mesh between that gear and the lower gear on the small shaft seems very tight. How can I adjust that? I can't move the main shaft much and the boom block doesn't move at all.

    Black or white gears? Mine took about 5 flights to bed in The auto gear could be a little warped if its been done up to much.

      Black ones mate. They've already had about 10 flights, maybe Stuart wasn't pushing it hard enough

      How tight do you do the lower jesus bolt? I've always been careful not to do it too tight, but I don't really know how tight "too tight" is. :/

            I was about to do that, but the hole for the top block that the metal motor bracket shares is very close to the edge of the frame.

              I'm going to change all the TT gears out for white ones and I've got a CNC main gear on order so hopefully this will fix the issue. I keep reading that the Fusion likes a tight gear mesh so I'm hoping any discrepancies will wear themselves out after a few flights.
