  • Servo Fitting

    Hey all,

Having trouble fitting my DS610s without the push rods binding against the wheels. I've fitted it as per the manual, with the balls on the outside. I tried it with them on the inside (nearest the servo) and the balls then bind on the servo itself.

Can those with DS610s please tell me how you've mounted them? Or should I use stars instead of wheels?

They bind at centre stick mate I can't fit them inside the frame without taking it apart which I will only do if I really have to.

Indeed mate, you got yourself one too? Are you free tomorrow? There is a few of us flying in South Shields if the wind dies down a bit if you fancy a trip over.

if it makes u feel better, i run the balls inside to keep the links straighter, and dont recall it rubbing enough to even worry about dude but if it does bug u, i think u can change the balls on the bell crank to the stand off balls

Thanks all. I checked and checked and mine were definitely installed correctly. I got no buzzing what they were definitely rubbing. No worries, because I remembered I would have to move the balls in a hole or two for the beastx blue light, so I just changed to the 5 arm stars and it's perfect

I'm using Align servo wheels but Futaba 9252 servos. They all rub a little bit but it's not enough to be a problem. I think the aileron servos could have the balls on the inside of the wheels and that looks like it would clear everything OK but the elevator probably has to stay on the outside (although, it also looks possible to raise the balls on the elevator bellcrank).

Cheers for the invite fella, I'll try and get a nose over to see how it's going down over your way!
Where exactly is it you fly? I'll be coming through the tunnel (That was obvious wannit!)
I might not have much of worth to fly since my Fusion is err.... still in it's box :-) been completing other projects.
