  • Micro Heli CNC Tail.

Does anyone else own the Microheli CNC tail grips?

I seem to have vibrations in mine as soon as I fit the blades. With the fitted washers the blades are very stiff and I think maybe they arent balancing out once the tail is up to speed. Without the washers the tail blades are very loose in the grips... Cant seem to win...

They are so well made and look great, I just wish I could balance the blades out, they are too light to even register on my scales or on my blade balancer though I think its the stiffness in fitting thats the main issue

Anyone with the same or experience of anything like this with advice would be very much appreciated. Thinner washers have been tried (that was obvious even to me) and I get the same.

Without tail blades theres no vibration in it at all, with them and the required washers theres a fair bit, at least enough to upset my GY200 HH Gyro anyway, the gain is set very low at the moment.

try making some thinner ones, they dont have to be metal, thin plastic will do
do the tail blades look in track when its spun up?, it could be unequal pitch on the tail blades, this can be hard to remedy, depends on how the tails built up
ps you dont need to have 2 in each grip, sorry if thats obviuos to you, but just in case

          Bender,

Thanks. The blades look fine as far as track is concerned, I think its the fact that its so difficult given that the blade grips are metal and there is no flex to get a good even amount of grip between the two.

I guess its just a case of trying different things and seeing if I can find a solution. I only posted here on the off chance someone else had experienced the same problems,

a friend of mine who used to come on this site has one of those tail holders you are on about ,and as i recall he had problems getting the rotors in as well as the washers,so he opened out the rotor housing slightly, and then squeezed in the washers ,this works a treat as i was watching him fly it tonight,he also has the heli up tail rotor slider control and the cnc tail gear case.
