  • Copilot replacement?

Just curious, can Beast X be setup to be very very stable similar to Co pilot? Or not. I understand that it does not fix you to the horizon if you get in trouble like co pilot but interested from a beginners point of view when learning circuits etc.

it won't save you if you make a mistake or if your going to crash, it's not an autopilot...

Yes you can vary the setup from very dosile to very aggressive - I haven't tried, but I would imagine the best bet would be to select the most dosile mode first - I think it's called 'sport' if that's too lively, set it up as transmitter mode and add as much expo as you want and change roll and flip rates to suit.

In principle a flybarless can be as stable as you want. The stability is in the maths and the values you select. In the same way a flybarred heli can be made more stable by increasing the weights on the paddles. There are flybarless systems that will return you to level flight. I think Align have one released or about to escape. GPS is getting cheaper all the time and this can be added in to give stability relative to a fixed point.

There is also normal mode which is more docile than sport. So It can be dialled down to a degree yes.
