  • 6 Months On…..Are we still Lovin it….

Well it felt time given I've had this G4 for over 6 months to review the initial build review and see if the heli was still standing up to the expectations it gave on its build.

Nice too hear that it is back up and running, I do not like the downgrade you have adopted for the tail servo though the original method is far better, best check your main bearing blocks too as these are known to twist and bend in a crash also, a lovely model they are and I am looking forward too seeing another in our club next week....

The main bearing holders were fine - the fact it was low to the ground to start with helped to keep the impact energy low. Was more gutted that I had written off the Rails - I buy every month a few bits to stock up spares so I had the majority already at home only a few bits I didn't have. I know what you mean on the downgrade maybe not ideal but the only other option at the moment. On each bump even the small on the tail drive gear as given up so that rear housing is going to be out I feel in most bumps hopefully those bumps won't be fairly often though.

Maybe play with some other sets of skids, just recently I made up a pair using 1 FC3 type skid (front)and 1 normal (rear) of a Trex 700, the result was it kept the tail nice and clear of the ground, I am sure the old raptor ones would raise it but they may spoil the looks....
