  • Rudder servo horns - distance for vbar

    Hi all,

Finally getting to the closing stages of getting the Fusion built (its been a slow process but not due to the build .. just life getting in the way)

Finally strapped on the blades etc and once i got a replacement tail servo on thursday (old one was notchy before i even powered it up) i've gone through the VBAR setup .... Head side of things i'm fine on and i'm happy to have +/-14 deg throw and a perfectly level zero pitch setup...

Tail is a different matter.... to get the throw sorted in vbar i needed to bring the sliders all the way to (almost) minimum whereas it recommends 80-100 on-screen.

What distance are people running their centre point to ball link? I'm guessing i need to bring mine much closer to give vbar more mechanical gain but a decent viewpoint from someone who's already got it up and running would help

    Cheers all

I had beast x running on my 450 pro with no probs on tail. Fitted a mini vbar and I've had to move the tail servo ball in to 8 mm to get rid of a wag under pressure. The vbar is awesome but the tail has taken some tweakin.

I think I put mine at 10mm or so but I'm not getting much throw in the servo so I need to move it in but by how much. Hence wanting another owner to give me a ballpark figure on theirs as I don't want to do this many times as its a pain

Figured it out .... Did some experimenting ... got the tail nicely sorted now at about 94 & 98 on the limits about 0.5mm before binding

Gotta say that i'm surprised how easy vbar was (obviously haven't yet flown it) ... was nervous about it being a bit of a noob still and it looked initially complex but overall the setup wizard was surprisingly straight forward
