  • JR dsx9 balance

I have recently bought a JR dsx9 mk2. The supplied strap balance extender bracket did not provide perfect balance, so I bought the longer spektrum one from fastlads. The balance is now spot-on, but the extra length provides more leverage and the bracket is over tightening the loop when it swings on the neck strap and resting off-center. I guess one solution would be to find a shim that fits but I wondered if anyone else has had this issue and come up with a solution?

    All tips/fixes welcome please

Any more suggestions out there? Can it be tightened from the inside of the tx? One reply is a little low for a sensible question?

A nicely developed beer-gut renders the extenders unnecessary!

No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery.

+1 with that. Seriously though, has anyone else out there had this problem/got a fix for this? Is there a way of adjusting from the inside? I don't want to open it up if there is no chance of fixing

i had this with mine, all i did was push it round a hole turn, you will have to remove the the extender half way round as it hits the top of the tx and put it on the other side then another half turn and your there nice and tight. mine hasn't moved since.

Ok sounds good, is there any danger of damaging the thread?overtightening?

Well, you will all be pleased to read that the problem has been resolved. I tried tightening it up but could feel that to go beyond a certain point could strip a thread, especially with the leverage provided by the extended balance bracket which was then at 90 degrees off center. So, I undid the bracket assembly complete, from the tx only to find when I tried to screw it back in, it wouldn't grip and just spun. I then took the tx apart to examine the method of fixing....had to undo a couple of pcb boards to reveal the nut behind was just loose. Anyway, now got a really solid fixing and re-assembled no problem
