  • Spartan Quark / Gyro Setup

    Hi,
It's just occured to me that I've never setup the gyro on my 450 or the 250 correctly in the Tx!!
So a bit of help would be much appreciated...
I'm setting up the 250 first as I havent put my spare Quark on the 450 yet but I imagine it's exactly the same settings more or less...

    Futaba 8FG Gyro Settings:

    I beleive that is right?
The Quark is set to AVCS mode (blue light)

    Any help greatly appreciated

Over 50% gain is AVCS (heading hold), so if your TX goes from 0 - 100, then below 50 is Rate mode and above 50 is Heading Hold.

Means nothing to me!? Im completely lost when it comes to setting this up
If I go into my Gyro menu on my 8FG, anything OVER 50, the gyro flashes red, anything BELOW 50 it flashes BLUE... so thats opposite to what you said...

Someone must have an 8FG to help me set this up... PLEASE!!!

Flashing? I think you must mean steady.

Anyway, having just done this with this combination, I didn't have to invert the channel, but is that what you did in the end? I also set it normal/normal on the screen you show and then used the 50% mark as a guide as suggested above. Inverted or not just move further from 50 in the direction of blue to increase HH gain

Set type to GY and select either AVCS (heading hold) or normal (rate), it should appear on the right of the GY.
You will need to set this for each condition (normal, idle1, idle2, etc) if you have your gyro linked into your idle logic switches or programmed to change off a different switch.
