I noticed today that after every flight the tail boom is warm to the touch, anyone know if this is normal on this model??

Static kit is fitted grounded back to the motor mount, all appears well with the heli, all moving freely in the belt and tail department.

      Check your tail shaft bearings.

Where abouts is it warm? Not normal... Make sure your belt is tight.

The boom is warm along the full length. Belt is tight, I actually wondered if it was too tight.

Going to remove the boom etc inspect and re-assemble just in case.. thought it was a bit odd especially as this is a brand new model only had 8 flights of mild 3D.

          Keep you posted.

          Thanks

Solar power heating the boom from flying too high! Keep it lower hahaha..

Odd, yeah a rebuild and inspect from the tail boom down is a good idea.

Check that your belt is not twisted, frayed or rotated any more than what's required, and yes it's a bit of a bitch of a job, I use a laser pointer down the tail boom to check the belt isn't twisted, but a high powered torch should also work, just not as well.

Can you also confirm for me, should the tail output shaft bearings be fixed into the carbon tail box with an adhesive or just pushed into the holes in the carbon sides?

              Many thanks.

I've just pushed them on my Logo 600SE, but some mates glue them in their holes.

I've always just pushed them in, but if they went in too easy I would use a drop of CA on them. If they have been rotating at all you will know as they'll probably just fall out, check they are inserted all the way too.
