    Magic smoke, now tail doesn't work

    Hi,
    I think I've burned something on 5 in 1 for some reason. I was flying as normal, landed, then on next spool up I saw magic smoke coming from the front then tail stopped working. Everything else works.

    I think there was a short on tail motor wires and that caused it.

    Small thing in right up corner of 5 in 1 seems burned (when looking from the front).

    Is it fixable, or new 5 in 1 is necessary?

    Your 3 in 1 controller has burnt out the MOSFET for the tail, you can repair it yourself or have it repaired.

      I had exactly the same problem with mine - sent it in to Horizon and they fixed it for nowt As Colin says it was the MOSFET (whatever that is )

        yup and if u do get it repaired mind sort out what caused it in the 1st place

        i'd change the wire on the tail myself.

          as mentioned, horizon might fix it free for you, they are good like that.

          I suggest you check the tail wire for shorts though because thats what causes it.
