  • Hello from Hampshire

    Hi All

I have recently joined the forum having started with RC helicopters last year, at the same time I was trying to learn to fly fixed wing models. Having found learning both at the same time a little too taxing, I concentrated on fixed wing first and have now decided to start back with helicopters properly.

I have put together a T-Rex 500, which I'll be using as my main trainer. I maidened it yesterday and it flew beautifully .

I belong to a couple of clubs here in Hants (Firebirds and South Coast Silent Flyers).

    Best wishes, John

      Hey Don
I'll have to get you to put the 500 through its paces and see how the gp780 really holds up - not sure my gentle hovering is too much of a test!
Upping the head speed has helped with the nodding I was getting but there is still room to go higher. My 5 minute flights used less than half of the capacity of my 2200mAh packs!
      See you soon.
      John

        Cool

The 500 likes a good headspeed but tbh with hovering and gentle 8s you don't need it if it's not nodding anymore. Favour your flight times over performance at mo.
Look forward to next meet I will private message you my email ;-)
