    Rap 60 - I've been framed...

    Two Raptor 60s, different lower rear frame:

    They are definitely both 60s, and are the same in every other respect, so what's with the extended rear frame on the second one? It appears to do nothing other than move the rear skid mount back,which then makes the skids look odd with almost nothing of the skid extending back past the mount.

    I've been through the manuals for both the 60 and the 90 and googled around but cannot find any reference to it.

    Can anyone shed any light?

    I've never seen those before. I'm sure someone knows the story. My only guess would be they come from some kind of Raptor clone that was floating around out there a few years ago (or was that only the .50 that was cloned). I don't know why you'd want to extend that lower frame unless it's a matter of wanting the skids further back.

      That looks like the extended skid mount from the TT MD500 kit (PV6009).

        same as the MD530 kit that came on my E620, it has a rear extension for skids/body repositioning

                Yeah I did similar on mine, still have the scale body but she won't be going on for a while.
                buying used can be a bit of a mystery working out what has been changed, especially if you buy from a muppet or if they bought it used too.
