I have not been able too fly mine due to a dodgy V Bar, which I have had too send back again, really kicking myself now for getting rid of the GT-5 without giving it a chance, I have read some good reports about it, also there new 100 engine would have without doubt done me, I am using the Savox 1267s in my 700 and they are very nice for the money too I paid £65.00 quid each at TJDs in Dartford.....

My vbar has been working fine on mine - plenty of flying with it. Are you still on the YS120 ? or is it the 91.

I should have hopefully a GT-5 soon to play with but I intended to stick it on the Fusion 50 when I convert it to FBL.
        Cheers

Great heli and good write up, I'd very much like to own one, but I think parts prices are a bit over the top.

I am still using the YS 120 at least I will be when I get it back, I got rid of the GT-5 in haste, should have set it up with a RX rather than the 2 sats, then I would have been able too use a guvnor, I had it on the Raptor 3D got it hovering then got the hump with it and gave up, I was going through a get rid of the wiring phase, setting it up was not too bad and there is a lot more info on them now, I suppose you could just copy the set up for the E720 which is on the instructions, I may get another too play with as I am not liking the BX anymore....

Hehe, I know what you are saying, but 71£ for one frame and 31£ for a boom is a bit too much. I think it's the most expensive heli I have ever seen, by far.

Sorry for off topic, I am just being sad that I'll never be able to persuade myself to get it at these prices, despite I absolutely love how they look and are built (both electric and nitro).

To me it flys like the N9 but alot lighter, the only time I had this much fun flying was with my N9 built to last and great to fly. I just hope I don't give it a big bump too soon I've still got some spares to build up first.

Yeh but the frame is made is 2mm thick, now I can tell you for a fact out of all the bumps I had on my Vel 90 I found the skids constantly breaking and the boom bent fairly easy. I don't see the G4 suffering in the same way. Plus the front half of the frame is moulded plastic fan shroud so in thoery I suspect you'll have to replace this in most serious crashes @ £12 for both sides. If you take out the frame and boom the other parts are fairly well priced for the standard of heli your buying.

Before the old Raptor 90's where the lower end of the scale and you where paying shed loads for Robbe / JR and Mini Air parts. We've been spoilt with Align pricing but its lacked quality so to me if your paying for a premium model you should expect a bit more in costs at the end of the day.
                  Cheers
