Hi. My Raptor 50 V2 Auto Rotation Unit suddenly became disengaged after I put WD40 lubricating Spray. The rotor head can be moved freely both ways and when the engine starts, the large 85 T gear is spinning together with the clutch bell but the shaft is not engaged. I can rotate the rotor head both ways freely while the 85T Gear is running.
I stopped the engine and tried to turn around the rotor head as well as the gear during inspection , it suddenly engaged again and working well, smooth and no noise from the bearings.
My concern is that in case, it happens again during mid air and I just wonder whether I should change the Auto Rotation Unit now or is it a common phenomenon and nothing to worry about, after all, I do not want to change, it if it does not need to be changed.
I think it happened to me once many years ago with Hirobo Tsurugi 60 size around 1995 and I do not remember exactly what I had to do at that time.
Please share your experience and advice.
Cheers.
