  • Where did Avant go?

Just speaking to a mate who has an Avant nitro and he was worried about getting parts for his avant as he has not flown for over a year.

Are avant still in business? I have only see 1 batch of the Avant E about a year ago and that was the last I heard?

Anyone know what the score is?
    James

Ask Midlands. I believe they are the UK distributers.

But, the whole Avant thing has gone very quiet of late in the public arena.

I was just wondering the same thing no one has stock of kits that I have found.

The latest thing I've seen from avant is the new solid head.

Are align and outrage really that good that they are taking business away from all the high end heli's???
The man that has never crashed a heli has never flown a heli.

Very sadly I guess they just got old,....last years sheep anyone?

Also the level of craftsmanship required to manufacture them must be hard to pay for it the curant economic climate, very sad IMO

Did'nt Tony Stevens/Tom Burgess and a few others say the same not so long ago?? And what are they flying now??

I agree that they fly brilliantly but the quality of the components leaves much to be desired, not the best in my opinion.

I think alot of people got tired of waiting for Avant to produce kits/spares etc...etc... After all we have only had one batch of electric Aurora's here in the UK, and one batch of FBL heads (Correct me if i'm wrong).

I think Avant have had their day, it's been and gone and even in the USA it does'nt appear to be all that anymore.
                  Happy Flying! Thanks - Dave

Mine only went as I left the hobby for a while. Had I not they would still be here now..

Cracking machines and still give all the latest machines a run for their money.

Parts supply has never been an issue for me for many years, strangely though, they just don't seem to get the kit's out of the door.

Aside from that, the top notch support you get from Midland's and the Aurora is a winner in my book.

FWIW, I still think the Aurora and Synergy are the best looking heli's out there.....

Maybe they are busy working on thier 50 size,
Making loads of parts ready for a worldwide launch.
                      Then again maybe not!

I'd agree with this but I hope that they haven't seen their day and things change because I'd have another in a heartbeat. Spares need to be made available quicker and to the quality they were a 18 months ago.

I cannot understand the way Avant do things. It is a nice looking heli but for some reason stock is not readily available. I think its due to lack of stock that people have moved elsewhere. Its not going to be popular if you can't buy the kits.

Midland are the importer as someone else has already mentioned but I would be surprised if they could explain the lack of availability.
