  • Fusion 50 Flybar to FBL conversion cost

I have been searching for this info but no luck yet, wondering if anyone can help?

With the recent Fusion 50 threads I am thinking of buying the flybar kit and transferring the gear from my 600E (600mx on 6s) and running it on 550 blades and shorter boom while I save up for a 12s setup and FBL conversion.

Could anyone advise how much it would cost or what I would need to convert a FB to FBL ? I can get the FB kit delivered for £252 from Spartan, or FBL kit for £316 delivered from Evo RC. So if it will cost much more than £50 to convert the FB to FBL I may as well buy the FBL kit to begin with.

I don't have a FBL controller yet, just interested in the cost of the head etc.

    cheers Sam

The parts needed to convert are pretty much £50.

I think all that is needed is different grip arms and a swash driver. The grip arms are just over £8.00 so it would be whatever a swash driver costs.

The inner swash ring is also different I believe.

I opted for the FBL head too, didn't fancy one with a hole going through it..

They make a special FBL one but it's not strictly required.

Perfect thanks, so the FB swash will work with FBL? Sorry for the noob questions but I have only flown FB to date.

                    cheers

I'm sure it lowered it, but cant premember how much by tbh. Give Ade a bell, he can measure it then. There are three holes for the Jesus bolt, so you are able to get it about 15mm lower.

You can use the FB swash, no problems at all. The ideas of the FBL swash, is that in a crash you won't loose the links.

Glad I found this thread. I was just about to spend £80 on an entire FBL head for my new fusion. So I just need the larger grip arms, anti rotation arms and the FBL links?

                            EDIT: Just saw ma88ut's post
