    Maiden done.

    Just maidened mine after a month of checking, rebuilding etc.

    I've flown just one pack because I just didn't want more nerves, but the heli is absolutely joy to fly, it flies by itself and presence and sound in the air is amazing. Can't imagine how easy is to fly it - I came straight from 450 size mini protos and never flown anything bigger before, so it's a double jump for me.

    Dave, my club president gave it a good check flight (thanks Dave), motor come down warm, packs warm, so all good.

    I just need to buy some good packs for it and tweak headspeeds, I think vbar governor lies a bit and they were bit too low, but no bogging whatsoever.

    Can't wait to fly it again, perfect heli for me, I still think I may downgrade power system though, but need more flights to decide.

        How much is a kit for one of these out of interest?

                Phew, glad the esc didn't go pop lol that's a relief for me!

                Glad it went well for you


                When I got mine (Robs) it was £950 I think but that included bank charges and delivery as he only accepts bt or PayPal and I didn't want to pay paypals charges!

                  ESC smoked a bit but we've decided to ignore it (thanks again Ben!). Jokes aside it worked really well, came don barely warm and no bogging, so I suppose Vbar gov works.

                  I didn't know you had a TDR. You should buy another one, would look really nice in your collection.

                  XXtreme next for me as soon as I buy bigger car or a Goblin if they don't disintegrate after 100 flights . I'll probably wait a couple of years, I am one woman, one guitar and one heli man.

                    No technically I did not have one, after being on the list for a year I decided I did not want one before it arrived so mr Barnes took my kit rather than let my position go.

                            Done 7 flights during the weekend, initial nerves are gone, but I am still quite hesitant and overwhelmed by the size, but other than that the machine is really amazing. I pretty much run stock vbar settings, only removed the expo from the unit and upped the gains/agility a bit and most likely will leave it as is (I don't like tweaking).

                            I really like low head speeds (1450-1650) heli is precise and does exactly what I tell it to do, hang time is insane and there is plenty of time to do every maneuver. Flying it feels like slow motion comparing to my protos, plus it doesn't really care about the wind, makes flying very easy.
                            Definitely a keeper.

                            p.s. power system so far so good (packs come down barely warm, motor at about 30C, ESC cool, keep in mind this is low headspeed and I don't fly it hard), but I'll be very likely replacing it with kontronik combo some point, as I am really sure I don't need a monster motor on this heli, will keep the motor for a goblin or something similar

                              Nice mate!
                              I also fly at 1650rpm and can easily get 6min out of my Voltz 4200mAh, big sky flying and smooth 3D.
