  • Beastx 6 degrees?

Hey guys, got a quick question. I should be setting up my beastx today on my 450, have seen a few setup videos etc, but confused about the 6 degree thing. Does it mean that my max cyclic has to be 6 degrees and the light needs to be blue? Or if I have more then 6 degrees of cyclic, then I only need to make sure the light is blue at 6 degrees? Hope that makes sense.

No, I first misunderstood this also, but all you're doing is teaching the BeastX the geometry and servo movement that attains 6 degrees of travel. It's therefor imperative that you get 6 degrees at this step, regardless of a blue, purple or red light. Ideally you want a blue light to get the right resolution (move the balls in on the servo arms to get it if need be = more servo movement to get the same head movement), but it's not as important as the 6 degrees.

So just hit 6 degrees no matter what the colour of the light is?

That's it. It won't limit your cyclic travel to 6deg, it's just teaching itself the geometry of the model. If you don't get a blue light at 6deg on this step, you can move the balls in on the servo arms (as long as they don't bind, but it isn't dead important, it's just ideal).

All it means is that the servos are moving more to get the same head movement - this means more move resolution, which means move precise movement as there are more 'steps' to adjust by.

Think of it as 1920x1080p over 1024x768, albeit not that extreme.
