Hi all I have a really loud screaching noise from my 700E with 700MX motor, It has always had the noise but it seeems to be getting louder ?? I have ordered a shaft and bearings and the bearings for the pinion guide .I do have a spare motor from my other 700E that i have not flown yet so fitted that, The noise was the same ? so I either have two motors with bearing problems or I looking in the wrong place. Both helis were used when i got them,The noise goes when you hit hold ? Any ideas Thanks Jason

One way bearing slipping on the shaft perhaps? Or a dry bearing some wereInvertix 400

dry bearings in your motors id say... heard this on a few electrics. Best to oil the bearings every 6 - 8 flights.
I used to use Scorpion motors and they have a bearing service kit which includes the oil. You can buy this kit to lube any motor bearings.Last edited by Made2Fade; 05-03-2012, 11:01 PM.Comment

Hi Straight cut gears. I oil my scorp motor but read not to oil the align motors ?? I have changed the motor bearings shaft and the idler bearing so will give it another try. One think i did find on the net was a tip to put some green locktite on the end of the shaft to stop it spinning inside the idler bearing.The end of the shaft did show slight wear marks and it felt loose in the old bearing so that could be it .Goblin 700 comp 3 blade Kyle stacey head and tail, 160 scorpion esc , ultimate motor,MKS. Depending on the ESC it could be bad timing or wrong pole count - what ESC is it ?

Hi I have stripped it everthing looks as new, So as i posted i have changed the shaft, motor bearings idler bearing and main shaft bearings, When i fly it it nxt i will see its cured, I was just hoping some one had the same problem and fixed it. When I had my 700e first it screeched like a banshee, I thought the same bearings had gone or worse. Ask tony stevens on here. I then changed over to slant gears and it was well quiet. have a listen to this video, this is what mine use to sound like until i put slants on.

Well thanks for the replies.It does sound like the one in rapidgazes link really grates on my hearing !! I have now changed all the bearings locktite on the pinion swapped the motor and its better but still not as quite as my other.
