  • Which Miniaviation batteries fit the mSR X

    Hello all

Does anyone know which Miniaviation batteries are the best ones for the mSR X and what is the specification of them, also has anyone tried them.

Or which are the best batteries that are tried and tested for decent flight times as there seems to be different comments and makes.

Miniaviaition are based only 20 minutes if that away from where i live here in Staffordshire.

      Hi Dave,

The ones that I'm waiting for are the platinum 160mah 25c. (miniaviation.com)

They're out of stock at the moment, but when I contacted them earlier this week they said they should be leaving the supplier on 25th Feb.

The specifications are available in the description and they should fit perfectly.

They also do a 190mah,but I don't know how the fit is on those.Perhaps someone can advise please?

I'd be interested to hear how they fit when you get them, also what the flight times are as well. I won't be ordering the 160mah's until they get them in but if you get good results from the 190's then I will probably get some of those instead.

Are you sure there will fit the MSRX? i got sold two batteries today from my hobby store and when i got home to try them they fit in the MSRx charger but not in the heli.
Im worried incase i try and force them and break the connection, you would think the battery connector would be a plug in from both ends rather than soldered onto circuit board. sorry gone of subject,( still cant fly straight with this MSRX im sure the way they are made is wrong the blades aren't level ????

The batteries in the link are for the mcpx and not the msrx

The main shaft and blades are positioned at an angle leaning to the right for a reason. Most RC helicopters will hover leaning to the right. On small machines this is very pronounced so on the MSR range of helis they off set the main shaft to counteract this and make the body of the helicopter hang straight in flight. This makes it easier to orientate the heli straight and level.

I've just purchased 5x190mAh from mini aviation and they are too fat to fit into the mSRx but fit fine into the Nano.

                      Karlo

yep, I think they are the ones. The mSRX battery slot is a lot more substantial than the nano's. There is no flex to enable the battery to squeeze in. Five mins with a dremel would fix it I guess and new landing skids aren't that expensive if you over do it.

                        Thanks John,

may get some and modify the helicopter to be able to take them after I sort out the dx6i
