    Metal Boom Support Block

    Hi all,

    Does anyone know of a metal upgrade for the part that the horizontal fin and boom supports fasten too? Not keen on using self tappers and plastic parts, as they're starting to loosen a bit.

    Also, has anyone modded theirs so they attach to the frame rather than the skids?

    use a quick uk raptor boom clamp, u can lose the horizontal fine aswell and my ely q 50 had the boom supports on the frame, pretty sure its just afew spacers, ill hav a look in abit

      nice one mate, thanks. Did you just shorten the CF supports, or mount the boom block thingy further back?

      Or would the 90 part fit?

          Nevermind, apparently there's one for the 50 already:

          Must be new!

          Thinking about making this out of spares also, and mounting the CF boom braces on the frame with bolts, rather than into the plastic skids.

            just use the quick uk one and be done with it dude!! lol and mine was bolted to the frame, just behind the tank, into the spacer thats already there never changed the boom support length,just gav the model hell lol

              I bought the ali spacer kit for my boom support mounts theres a proper kit with two machined spacers and longer bolts. I left my supports at the standard lengths as well, just looks a bit sleeker like that.

                LOL, well I went through my umpteen boxes of spares and found two spacers and suitable bolts. Probably won't bother with the aluminium block, but for £9, I may add it to my next order.
