  • How have you secured your Vbar sensor

How have you guys secured your sensor? I have just the foam pad that came with the vbar at the moment. Will that be ok? Or have you got a better way?

I like a firmer mounting pad, so use the Ripmax tape.

Its hard enough to get off when you want to, so its going nowhere by itself

So it needs to be secured firmly then?

If electric I hard mount, if it was nitro I used the Spartan attenuation plate and foam pads.

I use a futaba pad , then a CSM metal gyro plate then another Futaba gyro pad .
Then over the to a small cable tie threaded through some fuel tube.

result ,........ good health messages in the events log.

                    This is for a nitro.

Obviously I refer to electrics. Mini I just mount on one piece of foam. Full size I mount on one piece of foam and use a Velcro strap over the sensor.

The foam I too got from Midlands and think its the Ripmax stuff which seems to be fine.
