    JR 12X problem

    I went to my garage tonight to check something on my tx and on switching it on, I noticed that the screen was blank and switching on and off.

    My garage is pretty cold and I have since brought it into the house and it now seems to be ok. Should I trust it or should I send it off for a service?

    I used MacGregor's servicing facility recently for the first time with my DSX9.

    If they can't find anything wrong with it, they won't charge you anything. You can expect it take 2 weeks to come back.

      How good is the batt pack/what voltage and how cold was it ... Maybe the pack voltage dropped below cut-off ?

        Charge was good. I kept it in the house last night and charged it up. It switched on fine today with no blinking. I'll try it when I'm down at the field.

          Chances are its just the cold affecting the LCD, Personally with a set like that, I'd have made the wife sleep in the garage and kept the Tx nice and cosy.............
