  • Hirobo Shuttle Bell 222 Bodykit - EZ Bell 222, Sports Aviation Ltd

    Hey folks,

I've got an "EZ Bell 222" fuselage for a shuttle or similar mechanics here, but don't have the instruction manual. Don't suppose anyone knows where I might find one, or perhaps has a copy I could scan/borrow?

Having a few problems fitting the mechanics in, appears that they sit too low and the tailboom is too high...

    Cheers
    Paul

    Hi Paul

Wasn't the EZ fuselages produced for the Concept 30's???? Most of the reviews and info I have point towards that and with the shuttle being a bigger frame it would indicate why it does not want to fit easily.....

Well the box states 25-32 size mechanics such as Hirobo, Kalt and Kyosho. The main bulk of the shuttle fits, all screw holes line up, but tail boom appears to sit just too high.. Will keep on looking! Have found a photo on web stating it was a zxx fitted to the ez fuselage, so there is hope

hi i dont know much about scale bodys, but would it be something silly like having to convert the tail to wire drive and fit it without the boom?? just a thought and please dont mock me if its a stupid answer.

i was told that the shuttle wouldn't fit the oe concept body shells
but if you do wish to go wire drive with the shuttle contact leamington hobby centre for their conversion of the shuttle mechanics to wire drive from their bell 47 kit
but you will need to turn the mechanics around

like i said i dont know much about scale bodys but know people who have them and they use wire drive which removes need for the boom which in turn gets rid of your tail problem.
