  • Cross platform wireless trainer

    Guys:
It was always on the horizon and today we flew it....

Wireless trainer that can interface any olde raido to any other raido. It will work from 2.4G to 35mHz from Futaba to JR all you need is a rx to link to the students raido.

Our first functional combination was a 12FG to a DSX9 to Phoenix sim.... (you need a simstick for this as well) using an R617 and a 6100e

Our second combination was a DX5 to a DSX9 flying a foamy... well thats only four channels... with an orange rx

So anybody think this may be a useful addition to the toolbox.. Let me know....

I would thought those clubs like ours that often have new people being buddy boxed would be interested in this, particularly if you can do Spektrum/JR to Futaba

Yep cack handed raidos are strigtned out as well.... todays test was a mode 2 DX5 to a mode 1 DSX9... Yesterdays was a mode 2 12Fg to the same DSX9 (mode 1)

I need to add a bit of functionality as some of the futaba units are 3V and this needs to be managed.

Does it allow the trainer to choose which channels the student can control? My Multiplex Cockpit allows that but not my DX6i or DX7. So I could use my Multiplex to control my MSR through a Spectrum tx. Any more details?

That's a great idea Steve! Every club should have a couple of these.

We are going to bring a couple of these new units up to 3D Champs this weekend to have a play with. Look us up at the event to have a chat and a look at this new little gem!

                      Cheers,

So if I understand this correctly, you have 2 transmitters, teacher and student, one with a receiver and a Buddystick attached - the trainer's Tx I guess rather than the student's, and the other with just a Buddystick?

And it works like a wireless buddy lead so the student can have control while the teacher holds a switch, and the teacher regains control instantly when the switch is released?

                        Is this right?
