    Anyone still have a Lama XRB? (wired connection)

    Hi all,
    i have decided to get my lama going again but the bottom blades don't spin as fast as the top blades.. resulting in the heli just pirouetting on the floor. I can't seem to understand... maybe the motor needs replacing?

    also the plastic pinions on the motor have both cracked. anyone know where i can get replacements? i have CA glued them for the time being...

    I know we ([URL="http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/"]Midland Helicopters[/URL]) carry a lot of Hirobo spares, including for the Lama XRB - if you know part numbers I can check for you - or give the shop a call.

      WOW!! Your the 1st person i know who has one. They were well expensive, like most Hirobo stuff

        i had one
        the sr will even fly outdoors on a calm day
        a breath of wind and it will be fun


        it sounds like the pinions are your problem
        replace both of them
        if it doesn't work then its a new motor

          I've got 2 one that has a lead so never runs out of battery!!! the other 2.4 with 4 batteries not flown them for a while but are good fun on those cold winter nights
          Today's outlook is fine for flying.

            haha - i got mine from ebay when it was slightly cheap... i bought 2. one was mostly for parts.
            they are both wired. i never got the SR. i bought a lama v3 instead which was the same but miles cheaper.
