  • Which version should I buy

I am thinking about buying Real Flight. Is it better than Phoenix in terms of realism? I am slightly unsure as to which version to get. Fast Lads only sell the Basic as far as I can see but this has the comment "RealFlight Expansion Packs and Add-Ons are not compatible with RealFlight Basic". Which version should I be buying. I would like to have a Trex 500 or equivalent.

Phoenix is not recomended. :P It's crap. TREX is a valuble brand for heli lovers. I used to compare the TREX 500&600.
          TREX 500
          weight: 800g
          size: 100*38*31 cm
          pack including:
          1* 500 enclosure
          1* large vertical wing
          1* small vertical wing
          1* tail tooth box cover
          2* horizontal wing
2* left*right machine gun permant seats
          2* machine gun
          1* rocket gun
          3* aluminium alloy trundle
1* left*right machine gun supporting tube
          4* wheel carrier control arm
2* the forward foot permanent seat
          1* front airplane wheel
          2* back airplane wheel

          TREX 600
          weight:2290g
          size:116*35.3*21 cm
          main rotor wing: 60cm
          diameter of main rotor wing:134.7cm
          diameter of tail rotor wing:26cm
          motor master gear:13T
          transimission master gear:112T
          tail drive master gear:131T
          empennage transmission gear:34T
          gear transmission ratio:1:8.61:3.85

Hope the parameters above can help with your choice. You can buy them at local hobby stores. However, the prices won't be too low. My pocket money has a limitation. so mainly of my RC heli comes from online store. I'm going to purchase my 6th heli on geartaker.com, maybe a mini one. I'm not sure. You can have a look. If you offers me advices, i'd be very appreciated.

nope I was begining to think it was spam.

As to which sim is better. I dont know as I have only used Phoenix. What I can say though is Phoenix is good enough for my needs as it has done wonders for my flying - checking out the numerous other posts saying the same thing indicates im not the only one. It is also a lot cheaper than RF and there is no worry about buying expansion packs or getting it to work with you own transmitter.

I've tried both and Phoenix is closer to the real thing for helis but realflight is better for planes.

It's hardly surprising to get Phoenix haters when you post in the RealFlight section (or should I say Realfilght? - see section heading)

Real fight ??? Pay for updates... Phoenix... Update for free....

Both work with simstick but phoenix works properly you need a wireless keyboard to reset realflight
