  • Full Marks for Simstick!

A big "Well Done" to you guys at Simstick. Mine arrived Thursday, and the whole thing was no more difficult than setting up a fresh Tx.

Works brilliantly, a case of fit & forget.

I must invest in one myself as soon as i can afford it and an Rx to go with it. I'm sick and tired of faffing with the cable

I must be the only one that thinks this is a waste of money. Yes simstick allows you to control it wirelessly but there's the cost of simstick plus a new receiver and yet you still have plug in the dongle for the pheonix to work and wire your laptop up to the tv. Why not just buy a USB extension cable for a couple of quid if you want to sit on your sofa.

                Or am I missing something?

Your missing the fact that no more wires ... no more broken leads from taking in and out all the time and no damage to the TX ... also the fact that you can plug it in once and hide it so its nice and neat .. Think that about sums it all up for me

My tv's on the wall 10 ft from the sofa thats a hell of a long usb extension
It may seem a waste of money but it isnt that expensive, i'm using a 6100 specky rx with broken antennas so its worthless either way & I have a dx7 se with no buddy port so it works superbly for me.

I'm just sick of trailing wires. if it's all plugged in permanently behind the PC I just need to get out my Tx, fire up Phoenix and I'm done No plugging in and no trailing wires, that floats my boat

I tend to think the same way, however the big positive would be for Futaba users. The adapter cable we have to use is very poor and can only be plugged in so many times before it fails. The new SimStick will solve that problem.

If I were still on Spektrum, I wouldn't bother though.

Andy, yes you are.My cable usb was loose in the socket and would occaisonally cut out,now its tucked away theres no extra wear and tear, also the jackplug for the tx was iffy from constant use.

And best bit is no cable to find after going down the back of my chest of draws on which my lap tops sits. Also now and then i would put the tx on my bed,get up and trip over the wire.

I love mine to bits, fit and forget,no hassles

I love the simstick, but i do use it via the laptop onto a 60 inch tv in my front room which makes it much better, if i only used it on say a pc in my office then i probally wouldnt see the point, but in your front room its priceless.
