  • Miniatur Aircraft USA reinvented & redifined

Forget about Miniature Aircraft’s past. Forget Miniature Aircraft is the longest running helicopter manufacturer/importer in the USA and probably the world. Forget MA has accomplished championship wins in 3D and FAI flying on top of supplying the UAV industry with leading design models. Forget that most MA X-Cell helis are still supported going back to the original 1001 X-Cell kit built in the later 80’s. Forget MA defined what 3D flying and durability is and was with the X-Cell Fury Extreme and X-Cell Graphite SE. OR really, should we forget…?

MA has grown and shaped R/C helicopters for all manufacturers since their inception. MA now redefines the R/C helicopter again with the X-Cell Fury 55 and X-Cell Furion 6 models. True, there is no space age ground breaking design in these models. RC helicopters have peaked in mechanical design. Redefinition comes in usability and enjoyment minded designs. Gone are the goofy things that irritate all modelers. MA’s next generation of X-Cell models bring reinvented, redefined simplicity to the field and bench.

Look at the rotor head, completely adjustable for any flying style in a clear and concise manner. Look at the fit and finish of the all the aircraft quality parts, manufacturing pride, made in the USA. Look at the drive train, simple, low parts count, low drag components, bullet proof auto bearing, durable and no gears to strip ending a session at the field or leading to an impromptu repair session. Look at the clutch shoe, an advancing engagement design for 100% engagement and no slipping, minimal liner wear. Look at the rotor head and main gear attachment hardware, no Jesus bolts to break. Now that is a concept.
Now step back and look at the whole heli. Look at the redefinition. Simple frame assembly, no servo bell cranks, minimal linkages, easily accessible servo installation, motor and clutch serviceability, radio gear precisely positioned for accurate CG balance with no weight addition. A 50 size heli built like a 90, flying completely unrestricted.

Check out the X-Cell Furion 6, big motor, lots of voltage, simple frame, all along for the ride. Nothing much more to elaborate here. Just pure power and an adrenaline rush.

The Miniature Aircraft X-Cell Fury 55 and X-Cell Furion 6 helis represent a new way of thinking for Miniature Aircraft. Gone are the complicated, high cost, parts intensive designs. Only new, well thought out, proven ideas from their 20 plus years of RC Helicopter manufacturing, competition and weekend warrior flying are used today. Not only are their ideas proven, they are honed to meet the demands of the dedicated, full on, rc heli hobbyist that only expects consistent reliability, durability, and highest performance. Sound too good to be true? Sound Expensive? Well it is true, and a recent study of repair parts shows X-Cell Fury 55 and X-Cell Furion 6 parts costs to be right in the middle of the 50 sized heli class. Is the kit expensive? Maybe kit pricing really is relative in the bigger picture and X-Cell's kit pricing is not as expensive as you might think?

When are parts’ pricing really a consideration?
If you are crashing a lot, seriously or just a minor scrape
If your parts wear out too quickly
If your parts fail therefore causing a crash
But if you’re the type of pilot that goes weekend to weekend and most of the season without a major scrape, point 1 is not a consideration. If point 1 is a consideration for you, maybe try RC Sailboats. LOL. We realize that trying to learn 3d flying quickly can result in crashing, which is why it is important to realize that not only are our parts "middle of the road" in price, but our simple, easy to work on design allows you to get back in the air faster than ever. Plus our lower parts counts equals less parts to replace. Our parts are also designed to hold up to learning hard 3D and if you don’t go down that path, imagine how much longer the heli will hold up. Point 2 is not a problem with MA X-Cell Helis as only the best, time tested materials and components are used in all our helis. Point 3, well, see point 2. MA X-Cell helis are designed, and made to be flown every weekend and consistently perform. Performance is not just a feeling or visual cue, performance equates to a “no tinkering” design as well. Your hobby time is precious, just like ours. We want to see you flying not tinkering. We want to fly and not tinker. Why should we expect you to spend time tinkering to save a few bucks and not enjoy your hobby to the fullest.
MA X-Cell Helis used to be known for being fidgety after a crash and not quickly and easily rebuildable. Not true. Ask some of our team pilots especially Art Hughes who is known for quickly repairing a crash and finishing his demo in under a 1/2 hour, getting back in the air in no time and flying just as if it never crashed. We along with many others have seen this feat done. Pretty impressive. A testament to the design and his abilities.

MA X-Cell helis are supported like no other as well. Any problem, big or small is handled quickly, decisively, and to the benefit of a MA X-Cell heli owner. Even if the problem is not MA's “fault”, we collectively find a way to remedy the situation as best as possible for you, the pilot’s benefit. That is true Customer Service. In the USA, you can rely on your dealer to be your first line of immediate service as all MA/HWI dealers are empowered to solve your problem right then and there. They take care of you, we take care of them. That simple.
Looking for parts and kits, have no fear. MA is distributed by HeliWholesaler and its vast coast to coast and worldwide dealer network. If a dealer does not have a part in stock, no worries, have he/she order it and chances are in your favor that part(s) will be in your hand within that week before the next weekend of flying. Even if HWI shows a part is out of stock, the manufacturer is only 200 ft. away. Same day service to get you the part you need on the way or in your hands. What can be better than that?

What is better than MA parts availability is MA’s further show of commitment to parts supply. If you cannot find the part(s) you need for any current model for any reason and MA cannot help you, the part(s) will be free once located and available to ship to you at the earliest possible moment. In many cases both MA and HWI will go the extra mile to make sure you get that much needed part one way or another. That is our commitment to you, the heli enthusiast.

There's no doubt that my Spectra has the smoothest powertrain of any heli I've owned.. you can blow on it and it'll spin.

Moving to a philosophy of lowered parts count and UK accessible spares has been long overdue and I applaud it..although if memory serves from looking at the fury55 manual those annoying tiny e-clips were still there

If I didn't crash so much I'd own one in a heartbeat.

            Love my 55
Defo the best quality 50 on the Market at present IMO

Just converted to FBL , hope to maiden this weekend??

MA just curious as to why the FBL rotor hub isn't as beefy as it's FB counterpart ???

            Like I've said many times
You won't wear this Heli out LOL

And parts prices are raptor ( middle of road ) money

            Great considering the quality

1 con , is not enough uk shops taking them on board

            Cheers

I keep looking at the Furion 6. It looks an incredible heli but truth be known I know very little about them and see none flying otherwise I think I would have already ordered one by now.

Can it run 2 x 6s 3300 like the Fusion?

There's quite a few MAs at our club.

I've got a Fury Tempest, someone else has a Fury 55 and another has a Fury 55 and several Strati (plural of Stratus????).

                All are in regular use.

And remember to support your MA importer and specialist in the UK: Motors & Rotors!

Dave has supported Xcell from the beginning, and there's very little about them he doesn't know!

His knowledge is brilliant...assuming you can actually get through on the phone without repetative strain injury and he has the parts and you accept the costs. Sadly has often been quicker and cheaper to buy from the US and pay the carriage and duty.......

I think m&r should maybe consider a name change, to jets as dave seems to have moved away from helis which isnt a surprise given his passion for jets.

Fury 50 now I was tempted by one of them when they were released I dont know if they use 60 parts possibly. Maybe look to the usa for supply on spares as MA where huge in the US.
                            Cheers
