has anyone converted a vario to electric using something like a hacker a60 motor. i'm asking cos i just happen to have one sitting around looking for a home. it power is like a 35cc petrol and will turn a 22inch aero prop so bags of grunt. its a 190kv motor so could turn some big rotors on a 12s or 14s setup. i just think it would be good in a scale jobbie.

I'm in the process of building a Vario MD900 scale Heli, its designed to run on an OS 70SZ but the engine seems to be underpowered so I'm looking at doing a electric conversion. I was looking at a Scorpion 5035 motor. The biggest problem I have is that as well as the clutch/rotor blades it has to run a large fan for the Notar tail. Should be fun :-)
