  • N 5 tail drift

    Hi everyone this unit starting to bug me now ! i carnt stop the tail drifting nose right changed pads straps and checked all the usual things anyone else had this problem

    not really familier with that system, but have you got trim on radio or subtrim on rudder, any vibrations maybe

      only the the normal vibes out of a nitro ? just creeps around slowly

        remount the gyro on harder tape or try and velcro it down.

        nose right is "normally" too soft on the mounting.

        nose left is "normally" too hard.

          taken it down to one tape and strapped it up this has helped but still drifts just slower do you a metal plate between would help ?

            what gyro is this?

            have you setup normal mode?

            anything to change the mass is worth trying.

            add the metal plate and try again.

            what your doing is trying to move the gyro out of the frequency it is currently in. if it was me that had this i would go with 1 thin pad and work upwards.

                just checking!

                i'm on idog at work so i only check the main page :-) thats my excuse anyway!.

                the above still applies anyway, i'm not sure how sensitive the total g is to normal being setup but always worth a punt.

                    running 2/3 degrees of pitch at center with all the servos horns/linkages centered ?
                    plenty of posts on freak about this problem.
