  • Total G and Switch Glow problems help please

OK Dave the Rave is finally ready to go But I cant sort the switch glow
I am using a JR DSX9 Tx and use gyro menu & gov so the only available option left in the TG (Total G) menu is AUX 3 which I have set in the TG menu to "Aux 3"

I am aware that the 2 spare outputs on the TG box are switched only,
so I have split the switchglow lead and the red and brown go to the 8 volt buz bar output for the usp lead on the tg,
the orange switched upply goes to the top (switched) output of the TG box, but it just doesn't work

I can see aux 3 is mooving full travel on the Tx monitor menu.

any ideas anyone I would get the switch glow push button thingy but I cant find stock with anyone

'S X Rachel And Thanks for you help

If it's a new switch glo pro or push glo you can use this Fast Lad Performance

...always harder to do these things without actually being next to the kit.. but when you say split the wiring ..did you Y lead or split the pins? If the latter then you may not have a common earth???

I don't know.. but without a common earth the signal wire can't do it's bit.. so just a thought. It depends entirely on how the TG works inside when using a port for the power.

My quick look at the manual suggests that it depends exactly where you plugged it. If it's in the extra 'power/bind' slot then probably needs a common earth.

(anyway I use futaba and don't have a G... but always game to play with someone who has)

Here are the detailed instructions for the TotalG, if you scroll down to page 3 it does give you some information about using the TotalG with accessory items like the Switchglo.

                Hope this helps!

I would guess how you've got it setup should work, the only thing I can think of is that AUX3 isn't actually driving the output that you've connected the switchglo signal wire to, or as you say the switchglo could be faulty.

If you're in the market for a new glow driver I picked up one of these and am happy with it. I just take the power feed for it off the Y lead for the power connection as my receiver gets its power via the TotalG / Gryphon regulator.
