Nice. Look forward to see the difference at Calshot. I reckon you need some new lipos too for the full affect.
ps Just got the petrol mower running after 2years of rotting in my sister inlaws garden. Smoked out the place when it fired up lol. Will mow a nice heli pad down the 'field' laters. Even the Gaui won't catch on the grass then. I know this isn't a mower forum but please see pic attached :P

WOOHOO a proper mown landing pad & pits area.

Well i had a test in the garden & at 1st didn't notice much difference:(. Then i tried a freshly charged pack & it got better, it had a definate increase in HS but the climb rate wasn't great still. I went round my nans for a bit then came back & had another try. Then on the next pack i remembered i'd previously lowered the PC to 90% max to reduce bogging with the old motor. I went back to 100% & it was 100% better. I hope to maybe get a flight in at the mown field tomorow & it should be great. That last test with one of the weakest of the 4 lipo's aswell. New lipo's for sure will really transform it.

Laurence, the climb rate in the garden looked like it was on your vid in your garden but with weak packs so it should be bloody insane with new ones, however i need to wait for a proper flight to see for sure. Just putting the V2 slider on & it appears to have more left pitch avaliable than the V1

Good news mate! And yeah, v1 tail parts really did suck... V2 miles better hold :).

Luckily enough you can get about 50 packs for the price of half a Logo 600 pack :D.

I prefere ordering direct from HK as they are still silly cheap. BUT before i go ordering a turnigy i'll look at the options avaliable as 2s is always cheap regardless.

Just had a close call.....I dropped one of the CNC pitch link arms & as me & the wife spent 20 min looking & couldn't find it i was going to order a new pack. I was about to press buy at almost £10 'WHAT!!!' then i thought one more look & it was right in the middle where we had been looking???. I thought it was lost under the floor boards. That's just saved me a tenner 'phew'. I'm leaving it now & finish it tomorow.

                        1st of all i crashed earlier & 2nd i have motor problems??

Well i was at the field (Gav you didn't rake the grass) & it had so many interactions again which i don't understand?? When i flew with Laurence the other weekend it flew fine & now all the crap is back & i've done nothing to it???. Well i was trying do dial them out & as i flipped inverted the tail suddenly went full piro (i'd been trying to sort out inverted climbs). I had no controll as if the slider had jammed or something. Well it done a piroetting death slide & i hit hold midway so it went dead weight into the ground.
                        Main blades
                        Main shaft
                        Flybar (can be straightned)
                        Main grip screws
                        Canopy (obliterated)

I have all the above so repair is ok exept the canopy was my favourite :(

I've have just spooled it up & tested the tail & it runs smooth so the piro has me stumped???

Ok now the motor probs, well it works great but occasionaly when i go to spool up it just jitters???. I don't understand this & when it persists i unplug & plug back in the motor wires. Any ideas???

didnt rake the grass?? cheeky ******

sorry to hear about the crash :(

sounds like a timing issue with the motor - If it was me I would try reprogramming the ESC with different timing and /or cancel the soft start if possible. Just a guess but maybe the timing of the ESC is not suited to the new motor; pitch/spacing of the magnets inside the motor?

So if it is the timing that's incorrect does this mean if i sort it the motor will release more horses??

The esc instructions are not the clearest though

no lol but a new lipo will :)

not sure if youd get more horses by the timing change but hopefully will help with the initial startup of the motor and get it spinning without that dredded jitter. try 'no soft start' first, if possible.

one mod leads to another so they say lol - new ESC ?? lolol
