Unsure what is in the tail gyro menu as was under the impression it is just a gain value though?

On the satellites, you do not have to use three, but I recommend it highly. That is not specific to our unit. It will work but there is no extra margin for error. With a "regular" spektrum receiver they have one built in and recommend two extra. So they also recommend three total for larger machines. The number of satellites do not affect the speed. If you run a spektrum satellite external then you do add a tiny bit of extra time for calculation. But it is very, very tiny. Not something you would ever notice.

I run the tail control arm at 17.5 to 18mm
You can get to the background menus in the gyro, using the "G-view" in the interface. It can get to all the menus in the gyro. It has basicially the same menus as the Mini G. Although I would be curious to find out why it would be that far off. We tested it a lot in 700s and it did not need any special programming.
