Governor & idle 1 & 2 curves?

    Governor & idle 1 & 2 curves?

    I have a Stator Gator fitted to my helibug but so far I haven't fitted a governor. I have a Futaba GV-1 but is this the best set up for a gasser or is there a better one? My heli fly's great without a govenor but as it's now approaching the time where I get a little more adventurous I presume it's best to fit one.
    Also what Idle 1 & 2 throttle curves are people using, I have a G270RC engine fitted with the Zenoah 29cc big bore kit and a 17 T pinion. I possibly should have gone for the 20T but I didn't really want to slot the frames.

      he stator gator is probably the best you can get really, i know people who wouldnt use anything but it

        As far as I know.. and I admit that is very little.. the stator gator really only works with the GV-1 (unless it's the revlock variant).. there's been threads where folk have tried it with other govs and failed.

        As to curves..they're there for a backup if it fails.. so theory suggests that you either set the GV-1 for the headspeeds you currently use or pick the headpseeds you want and adjust the curve to give them if the GV-1 fails.

        If you have the extra channel to switch gv-1 on and off then you can asses how close you are by trial and error..

          Hi Malcolm, yep still playing with the gassers, just about to go the same route with my 600, difference with this one is it actually stays in the air!!! I see you have a 700E, that must be a beast but I assume the batteries are pretty damn expensive?
