If you want a PS game, buy a PS game. If you want a SIM buy Phoenix.

You will come to realise that cheap is usually "bad" in this hobby. This is an expensive hobby and £80 for Phoenix is at the cheaper end of the expense scale - and will certainly same you money long term.

I am asking this because i know some who wants to get into the hobby, just to try it out, and he wanted know if there were any free sims.

I have Reflex XTR I'll sell cheap. I'm not sure exactly which version is on the CD but you can download 5.03 or 5.04 from their website. (you need the dongle for it to work obviously)

Let them have a go on yours then if they like it they can buy one, if they try a cheap sim it will probally put them off for life i know it would have me.
          Problem solved.

If you use the RCHA search facility you'll find that has been asked before - try searching for helisimrc and also for FMS.

I've used HeliSimRC and it was ok for something that is free. I now use Phoenix.

HeliSimRC (HeliSimRC) is far better than FMS. It's almost good!

Heli-X has a free and a paid version

                  HELI-X - News

For fixed wing, CRRCsim is a free slope sim and the physics blow all other paid sims out of the water. You don't always get what you pay for.
