I really like the look of these, but not the prices that I have seen to date - just under $700 !!!! DO you have an idea of when / how much they will be in the UK ?

Cheers,
Mike.

No offence, but lets hope it's a lot better then the hurricane 550- had to spend quite a bit of money on mine to get it to fly right,,, main gear was too easy to strip and the general fit of parts left a lot to be desired,,,,, At least parts were cheap though !!

Wonder how it will fare against Align's soon to be released 550E ???????

Yeah, £370 ish is probably the cost price!!! Paid £505 for mine, nobody stocks them in the UK, cannot seem to find a stockist of 255 parts either??????. Waiting for the VAT and duty invoice which will probably bring it to £620, according to the duty calculator.

The X5 does look like a nice model, it will be very interesting to see what the pricing on it will be.

King Cobra are a Gaui distributor, they should be getting the X5 in and should already have all the 255 spares. They are closely linked to Rossendale models too, who should hold the parts.(Rossendale Models)

There are european shops advertising for an expected 635euros = £530 with motor and esc so I expect it will be in that ball park. Don't know if this also includes the blades.

Got my X5 finished and flown last week. It me £90 more to get in the air than my Trex 500, but in my opinion its worth every penny.
Its very agile and at the same time has a very locked in feel.

Are you running it stock or with separate BEC?
Mine is built and ready for it's maiden hover/flight. Just hope the weather is good.

Hi,

I have seen Qal fly his X5 and I must admit it is a very nice piece of Kit. I am no expert but the build finish is very high.

Will have to start saving, noway will I sell any of my 550's to fund one.

Cheers,

Fred:cheers2:

I'm running it stock with the Scorpion motor and ESC that came in the kit.
I'm running it on £27 Savox SC0254 servos butr it really does fly well, will try to get some video on after the weekend.
