Evening all, just wondered what rpm i shld hav the engine running at?? Obvisously my headspeed is gonna be abit lower coz i havent found a 16th pinion for the n9 yet, but was the power band on the ys? 15000? 15500? 15750? I know the ys power is lower on the revs

Assuming you've got the 124 main gear, that's 8.26:1 so pretty much the same as a 700. I've got my revlock set to 16400. A bit out of the power band, but it pulls like a train.

Weird, i thought it wld b lower than that, im not sure what gear ive got in it, but i do kno that on the align 91h i had it set at 16000rpm on a align gov (not the greateat gov) and had bang on 1950 tached on the head, maybe ill set it at 16000rpm again and see what its like, i like the idea of running in or jist above the power lolComment

Maybe ill let it scream hehehehe im sure i can cope at 1900 on the head, am trying to smooth dwn neways lol think i flew my 1st few tanks at 18 something coz i just looked at it and thought shit thats high and literally turnt it dwn while idled up on the deck till it sounded right lol think i got dwn to 74% and had it like that for a gallon lolComment

So 15th pinion, 124 main gives me 8.28ratio, 16200 on the engine gives me about 1960something, i can live with that

I believe the magic number for the SR is 15,400rpm at the engine for peak power. Set it a bit higher than this so when it bogs down, it drops into the sweet spot for a quicker recovery.JR Vibe Fifty fb (YS56)Comment
