Oh for sure i have... Was originally intended for when I Die, but who needs to know it was orginally a coffin!

It must be on the limit of the size of model you can fly without a special licence. Really looking forward to seeing it for real.

Oh well missed out on seeing that today, but nice heli Paul. Do I get the feeling you're hinting on a full size ?
Reaching over those blades to the head is definitely a no go until the head practically stops.
Do you have some specs for us please ? Blade size, motor/batteries, etc. It looks quite heavy ?
                Mike.

I am sure Paul will provide the specs,i know it has a Scorpion motor 500ish kv i think running 10s 4800.

1400mah taken in 4 mins flight.

Blades are flippin huge and bow a bit like fullsize ones when static.

Headspeed was 950rpm ish, filmed on my phone so video not great.

Well thanks guys for all the kind words. That was the just the second flight or should I say hover, I nicked the motor and esc from the Bell47 as I figured they both used the same Zenoah 23cc gasser engine with different gearing so it should work. So the motor is the Scorpion HK 4035-400kv, boy am I impressed with this motor it has so so much power and torque and at around £140 it is fantastic. I was using 10s setup but I only had two fairly old packs with me. I am waiting for another esc from HK so I can run 12s and just govern the head speed on the throttle curve. It was running 39amps and 1400watts so not even enough to get hot. Oh yes they were 4800revo's

I have to say a big thanks to Ian (DMHC) who made the clutch adaptor, fantastic mate.

Aidi, we will catch up, hope to pop down at the weekend some time.

I will post the build photos so you can see how small the scorpion motor looks in place of the gasser. BTW anybody wanna buy a 23cc Zenoah complete with electric start??

Boggy, the Augusta is the 90 size graupner again runnung 10s with an AXI motor. It flys great, again a big thanks to Simon (DMHC) for the graphics.

                          Cheers
                          Paul
