    Spartan Configurator card

    1. Does anyone know when Spartan are releasing the Configurator card?

    I see on their site its 'Availability TBA'

    2. It would be very useful for as I can't get the cable to work and link to my ds760, I'm using XP on BootCamp/imac.

    Pheonix works fine, do I need to download any drivers for the usb for the Spartan?

    Any links or help would be greatly received.

    the card is coming but it's certainly been a while in the making. it is quite a complex bit of kit now with the things it can do. it is a mini pc in effect so it will have a lot more functionality than programming a gyro at the field. because of this it has taken time to do.

    i don't know any due dates for it sorry.

    your other problem, yes you need the drivers. goto the spartan website and get the applicable driver for whatever dongle version you have. quite how you get this to work with bootcamp i'm unsure. assuming it should work like XP then install the drivers, plug it in and job done. if you have plugged it in before installing the drivers then XP normally assigns it its own driver which will not work so you need to uninstall that first if so. there are guides on the support section if you have problem which maybe of use.

      That's good news, yes I had a thought the card would be more complex than the normal esc card.


      I'll have a go at the drivers tonight, BootCamp is just a way of running XP or windowlean 7 on an imac, it just boots up like a PC, when you first install XP the imac loads its own drivers to make the keyboard, sound and other functions work like a PC.

      Makes me laugh all those ads at the moment saying my PC can have two windows on the desk top with one click and other functions, something Macs have done for years!
