  • JR Receiver antenna protection

Hi guys, just got my JR RD921 receiver and just wondered hat you are using to protect the vulnerable antenna wires on the receiver and remote? I had thought about using heatshrink but will that protect them enough?

    Any ideas greatly received

I use thin silicon tube and a drop of cyno. Works really well.

I have used both fuel tube and shrink wrap both do a good job, the shrink wrap is only fractionally bigger than the original wire and therefore is less prone to being knocked than the tube though.

I might give that a go as the fuel tube does fall off from time to time.

Thank you everyone, Sounds like heatshrink is the way to go, my receiver antenna's look like they may be a bit vunerable when the canopy is taken off and on. I have seen a few pics of the JR (non uk version) with a small amount of heatshrink, but looks like it's just there as a strain relief.

heatsshrink works on the new cases the older cases were just flat with the wire comming out, they are alot harder to protect infact the extra weight of tubing or heatsrink causes the wire to wear. But on the newer cases heashrink seals the antenna to the case supporting the joint. so heatshrink has my vote.
              All the best
