I've not bothered with setting up the banks yet. It is advised to not switch them over in flight though.

LOL - I was intending to use it in conjunction with auto's infact. Might have to re-think that one.....

The last I read was that the bank switching is there for you to try different set ups without having to have the laptop / netbook / control panel with you in the field.
I've found the Vbar to be pretty good at autos seems to have more hang time than a Flybarred heli due to less drag on the head from paddles. What was the reason you wanted to set up another bank just for autos?
Best bet would be to speak to MrMel on freak he seems to be the leading authority on the Vbar systems and is extremely helpfull with setting them up

I'm pretty sure it was on the Vbar forums I read that, this was a while ago though just before V4.0 software came out. things may have changed since then though.

You can use banks in flight thats what its there for.

As far as i'm aware they only say make sure you copy over your basic setting then you can have different gyro gains etc in flight.

Mines all set up but haven't used them yet.

If you don't you will have a big problem.

But why don't you use hold for autos.

As for the lag yes i have it on the computer also but it maybe down to the v-bar program don't think it would be a problem while in flight

+ 1 on asking Mr Mel a question though.

I'm wanting to dial down the gain on the cyclic and tail when I auto, but noticed the software on the PC seemed to lag a bit when changing banks. Only one way to fine out.....lol

Mine lagged on the ground, Never notice it in flight.
I reduced the gain in hold as i found the vbar tried to over correct if the headspeed became to low.
                  Cheers Daren

I've set mine up with the flight modes.
                      0. hovering, more gain less agility.
                      1. ff, same gain as above but a little more agility.
                      2. 3d, high agility max'd out, still working on the gain.
3, auto, back to hover agility but a little less gain.

i set a mix thr to C5 and use the o, 40, 60, 100% to do the switching.
there is a lag in the software but not noticed it in flight.
