• Parkzone Corsair, Spitfire or Mustang

Hi,

Im looking at getting a Parkzone plane, ive never had a plane before but have spent many hour on Phoenix with the Pkzone Corsair and feel fairly confident of my ability to takeoff fly around and land. Does anyone have any experience of these ?

Thanks
Matt

yes mate the spit fire is not really any good unless you upgrade the motor, the corsair is a nice plane but the p51 is the one i would go for... very nice to fly (first and only pane i have flown apart from a MICRO p-51)

my mates been flying the spitfire and its a bit slow...so he fitted a brushless motor and speedo etc went like a rocket, then bang the wings folded he should have got the hint when the wings were flapping:)
ill like aircraft as you can see by my picture to the left hah

I have them all. corsair, f27c and b, mustang and decathlon, cubs the lot. The mustang is a jem to fly but no landing gear. The corsair is great for take offs and touch and go etc. The f27c is a misile and the cub or brushless decathlon is the easiest by a long shot. Give the spit a miss. You cant stall the mustang unless you really try.
One last thing. The corsair parts are a nightmare to get. I have been waiting since november for a nose cowling. Horizon hobby now use boats to deliver and the gaps that people pretend to have stock for are huge, not the often stated 10-14 days.
Most electric parts are ok but body parts and somtimes the correcy servos are painfully long coming. Check squadronleader out. Also when the parts arrive, everyone wants them and so back to square one, your'e grounded..
You could always try not crashing, but everybody does, one day.
Come fly mine if you are local

Thanks for the great info. I must say im very tempted with the Corsair, from its looks to also being the one im flying on Phoenix. Thanks for the offer of letting me try yours but im not really local. Getting spares is a pain :( especially as you say i will crash at some point (if not straight away due to being nervous) haha

I've got the PKZ Trojan T-28 and its a lovely plane. Flies like a dream, has a steerable nose wheel and is very forgiving :)
I can thoroughly recommend it

Think the PKZ Micro Mustang P51D is better :) A freind of mine has a Sukhoi and it doesn't fly as well as the P51.

I think they are my choices. I do like the look of the micros but for a first plane think they might be a bit too much of a handful
