OK I've got the upgrade parts for V-bar and it said i have to remove the 2 metal pins, I've tried to heat up the surrounding alloy and I'm still not able to get the buggers out.
    Any advice, tips or tricks??
Has anyone converted there 500 esp into FBL?

    TIA
    Paul.

I take it you are using the Mikado conversion kit? The pins are interference fit into the head block but in my case the pins did come out.

I put the pin into a bench vice and used some pliers to gently twist the head piece back and forth. Eventually they became loose enough and I was able to remove them each in one piece.

I didn't want to cut them, thats not nice...

Hey, I made a really neat job on those! Not like some butcher with a hacksaw :P.

It's not like I will ever be goin back to 1970's heli technology on it

I use a 60Amp ESC which is fine for sport style flying. Probably good for mild 3D too if I could do it!
