  • Me being stupid...

Finally getting round to doing a proper setup on my v-barred Logo 500 and I'm now at the point where I'm finalising the v-bar settings prior to the trim flight.

The one obstacle I've reached however is the tail servo linkage / travel adjustments. On a normal tail gyro (Spartan / 720) you can set the end points electronically however this doesn't seem possible on the v-bar.

As such you've to set the limits mechanically and this is something I've yet to have to do, I certainly don't want to damage my BLS251 but was wondering if it's a simple case of just moving the linkage ball further in on the arm?

It's all the way out at the moment - does anyone have a similar setup they can have a quick look at for me to see how theirs is setup?

    Thanks, A.

Page 17 of the manual covers tail rotor settings - and it says you can adjust the limits for both directions in the software.

Rob, just looking here at the manual and the v4 software and quite rightly it says you can adjust it but I can't see anything to do this in the software itself...
      Edit.

Sorry, I'm a diddy and it's plainly obvious... I'll get my coat.

The rudder epa's are found in "setup" section 3 of the V4 software where you can set rudder travels for CW & CCW.

If those settings cannot deliver the correct throws then it will be necessary to move the ball on the servo arm. In case you are thinking of adjusting it in the radio - don't.

FYI when I fitted VBar to the Trex 500 I had to move the ball.
