  • Srimok Price Reduction

Just had the RealRaptors Xmas News Letter and they've dropped the price of the Srimok by 20%, now £800

Was tempted for a minute, but got too many heli's already

Reflective of all the problems and niggles perhaps? It's a lovely looking bit of kit, and does fly well, but I've seen a lot having problems with them. Adam turner chopping booms off more than once, starter couplings which slip due to trying to reinvente something simple, massive vibrations even once the tank hole have been taken out a tad, skid supports which are too thin etc etc. I was very tempted by one, but glad I didn't have the cash when the urge to buy was there!

There really have been very few issues with the heli when you consider it is a first time release from company new to the scene of making complete heli kits.

To my knowledge, one single person returned their kit to Midlands due to having trouble with it - this is now my kit, and is problem free

I'm not suggesting there are no problems, just that the few that have had issues are not representative of the many who have not, again, to the best of my knowledge
            Cheers,

Lovely machine that's for sure. I don't know why though, it just doesn't seem to have the presence of other 90's when it flies?? maybe it is just me?

£800 is a good price point for this kit.

I looked at getting my mate who lives in Thailand to buy one direct earlier in the year before i decided on the SG. That was gonna be £780 before posting to the UK.

Its a lush heli... just a bit too fragile for my liking

You can't judge presence from a video. Stunning engineering, and great quality, but as a spectator I have been a little underwelmed when I have seen them fly.

In my humble opinion the srimok is now a bargain all brands without exception have issues and the srimok is no exception but easily sorted,as for presence not sure about that no disrespect to any of the uk srimok flyer's but i would love to see some of the top world class pilots put it through its paces i feel sure it would then have real presence.
The thing is real quality and you should all get on the phone to Andy and grab one

I don't think the presence viewpoint is about how it performs in the air. There is no doubting that it performs very well indeed.

Ive seen Edders and Adam flying theirs and they can definately stretch the machine

I think its the compact design and small canopy that effect its presence and it just looks more like a 50 than a 90.

This is all personal preference but for me a 90 needs to feel like a big machine. My Vibe has more presence than my 700. They are the same size sat next to each other but the Vibe has a much bigger canopy and a lower stance so it looks totally different both on the ground and in the air.

Again.. horses for courses and all

800 Pounds IS A bargain! Go get it - there will not be many of those!

I have both the SG and the Srimok. The Srimok was way easier to build. The SG has the "traditional" number of screws (jsut consider the weight of these!). My SG vibrated just as much as my Srimok did until both machines were tuned in. So no difference there. JR's machines are fabulous, but they are EXPENSIVE, the Srimok is cheaper AND has no plastic - the SG still has a lot of plastic!

If you don't like any of them - well, buy a T700 or a Frenzy 90!
