  • Losing Confidence

    I placed an order for some parts for my JR 30 size heli on 10th March this year. There were about 12 or so items on the list (after I'd binned it) and they had all the spares except 2 items. They called me and asked if I wanted the parts that they had and did I want the other 2 putting on back order. I said yes to both these and duly received the majority of the spares within a couple of days. I've rebuilt the heli as best as possible, but guess what, it only takes one missing part to keep the machine grounded.

    It's now been quite some time since placing this order and I've tried sending several emails to Angela and am getting no replies. Of course I do have several helis so it's not as if I'm unable to fly, but none-the-less I'd like to get this one back in the air.

    I can't remember when, but it was 18 months or so ago, Midlands stated on their home page one week that they were going to stock 100% of JR heli spares. This was supported by Macgregors at the same time who said that Midlands would be getting the first take on all JR spares that they imported.

    It's now been 10 weeks or more and I'd like my parts. I've used them several times in the mean time for other spares and have indeed used Midlands frequently for many years. I'm starting to lose patience and confidence with them now.

    dont you just hate that!!!! im still waiting for my parts from fast lads that i ordered last satday! ring them and ask whats going on? have you paid for the missing parts?

      At least they informed you of the situation and gave you the options. I'd phone them and if they are not able to give you a delivery date, cancel and go else where. Ten weeks is a very long time to have to wait. Lucky it's not your only heli.

        Get on the phone and call them.
        Emails always suffer when they are very very busy - and they're busier than that...

          No, haven't paid for the undelivered items.

          Why should I have to ring them? Surely their computerised ordering system should get these spares ordered in as soon as they are indicated as out of stock, and then bookmark them for delivery to me as soon as they're available. Shouldn't the process be fully automated in this day and age?

          Of course I will try and find time to call them, but the damage is already done.

            If they can't get the parts then they can't supply them to you?
            I can't see what else they can do really...

              dont blame ya mate, maybe they put you on a post it note on the screen, but your right in what you say, it shld be on the pc and let them know your still waiting

                That is true Rob, and I've waited patiently for them on the understanding that these parts are for a couple of the less common JR helis, but come on.... 10 weeks now and counting is a bit over the top.

                  I think you've been very patient and 10 weeks without a response is unreasonable.

                  Why not PM them on here I'm pretty sure they are on this forum as Midheli or similar? Refer them to your post here so they know others are interested in the outcome.

                    Midland's have wound me up a couple of times as i order things and ask for it on 24 hrs delivery and paid for it you would expect it next day but i can't think of one time when it has been

                      Yep, there is a user on here called midheli, but how do I know who that is? They could be anybody! Facetious comment I know, but you know what I mean. Emailing Trevor using the address that your order confirmation is sent from is pointless and calling them can be a pain when their automated telephone system repeatedly cuts your call off dead id nobody answers it within about 30 seconds or something.

                      I have had some success emailing Angela in the past, but even she hasn't replied to me on this one over the last week or so.

                            Midland HC has always rang me when items I have orded were not in stock... but I agree they have never updated me on parts which were not available .. they assumed I have gone to some other suppliers.
