Has anyone carried out the Xtreme BCX2 upgrade (KR Hobbies, USA)?

I bought all the parts required and I know one used the original CX2 chassis etc, as stated on the KR Hobbies web page. But I am not clear on what you're meant to do with the battery tray. On the original tray you can take the front "bulkhead" off by simply pulling it off.

The new parts instruction leaflet is not clear - it shows two such bulkeads which must be pushed onto the new outer chassis on either end and these are not supplied. So, if one has to use the original then one would have to drill two holes in the aft battery "bulkead" / holder, after cutting the struts off. Not sure if this is correct. The leaflet relaly is not clear

Any comments / help apprecaited if someone has done this before; thanks a lot!!

Don't worry guys....found the answer! The rear battery "bulkhead" or cross brace can be pulled off the supports too, which isnt apparent but on closer inspection it is so.

Has anyone done the complete conversion - new blade grips, motors the works?

    What about painting the canopy?
