i thought it might be of interest to fit a cx3 body to a cx2 to bring it up todate.
whats in the box

i stripped the cx2 down to just the chassis and shafts. (battery tray removed) then fitted the new battery tray ends(the one with the stop goes to the rear. this fits easily into the new body and is secured by one plastic bar through the premade holes just above the notar sticker which inturn is secured by 2 small bits of tube. next i assembled the undercarriage skids and legs.(the legs with the small plastic stops fit to the front) they were then screwed to the new battery tray brackets.the stops on the front legs support the body and make the whole assembly nice and solid. next it was the tail stabiliser fin, which meant gently pulling the rear "pod" on the tail to one side to gain access inside the boom( it hinges on the vent sticker)2 screws and the fin was done. refit the blades/flybar and job done. quite a simple little job and looks great
the battery tray and undercarriage fitted

the front support lugs

the securing bar

the rear "pod" for access to the tail boom

nice easy access to the pots

job done

it also now has lights . white and red in the front and two red at the end of the boom. nice and simple to fit and just plug into a spare rx channel( aux1) secured with a blob of hot glue.
the reds flash and the white nose light is steady
