As I am an 'expert' with the DX6i now .... If you go to menu item 6 'Throttle curve' and switch the stunt to on (top left swith on TX), you can access the curve ( L , 2 ,3 ,4, H) and change the values of L and 2 to 100 and 75 you should have a V shaped curve....

Why a V shape? i have seen this a few times but im not sure why you would do it, also would '3' be 50 or 25?to get a more steeper sided V

The 'V' curve wouldn't normally be that steep.
            Its normally something like 100,70,100.
Personally I use a flat line with my electrics usually 100 straight across.
            On the nitros its a'V'.
On Phoenix its just a straight line.

Dazz kinda useless now i know but i cant find it (im sure it was under setup or newbs named throttle and pitch curves), it was something todo with a T-Rex 450 though

Well in a nitro if you had a straight line then, when hovering, the engine would be screaming its n**z off!
You need more power when the blade pitch is sharper and less when you approach zero pitch.
In an electric this isn't the case and a flat line will suffice.
